My Approach
I believe counselling is a calling, and it stems from an inner drive to support others in finding a sense of fulfillment and belonging. I feel honoured to be part of my clients' stories, and I am constantly inspired by their courage and positive intention to change and undergo personal growth.

I believe that engaging in a collaborative therapeutic process can help people live happier, healthier, and more productive lives. Thus, my goal is to provide caring, compassionate, and accepting support to set the foundation for a trusting relationship. I use a client-centred, holistic approach since I believe in the interconnection of mind, body and emotions, and in the importance of experiencing a balanced life.
I provide individual counselling to youth, and adults.
Areas of Expertise
Trauma
Trauma counselling is a specialty field of psychotherapy that helps people address, process, and recover from a traumatic experience.

Trauma is a response to an event that a person finds highly stressful. Thus, trauma is a subjective and personal experience. Trauma is not what happened externally to the individual but what occurs inside as a result of the external events.
There are different therapeutic approaches that can help in trauma processing. For example, EMDR and IFS.
Multicultural Therapy
Multicultural counselling takes into consideration how a client's race, gender, faith, spiritual believes, ethnicity, disabilities, social class and culture affect their experiences in the world.

Multicultural therapy focuses on looking at issues within a cultural context considering the intersection of all aspects of the self.
It explores the uniqueness of individuals and helps to recognize how family and cultural factors influence perceptions of self and the world.
Clinical Supervision
I am passionate about Clinical Supervision and mentoring provisional psychologists as they become fully registered. I have provided clinical supervision for the past 5 years.
My focus is on providing external supervision to those clinicians working in an agency setting or private practice, who are interested in Registering with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
I believe in developing a supportive and collaborative relationship based on a competency-based approach.
